It is with a very heavy heart we write this note to the Oshwal Community in Nairobi. We express our deepest sadness and condolences to not only those Oshwal families who lost their loved ones in this senseless tragedy but all others who also lost their loved ones at the Westgate Mall in Nairobi on Saturday, September 21st, 2013. We remember Mr Mitul Amrital Shah of Bidco Industries and Mr. Anuj Virchand Shah of Sona Shoppe and their families as well as other members that may still be missing, injured or perished during these senseless attacks.

We also acknowledge and express our deep appreciation for the work that Oshwal community members did to rise to the occasion in the selfless service to the Nairobi community and opening up the Oshwal Center for triage, information center for those whose families and loved ones were trapped in the Westgate Mall and providing the Kenyan security forces space for staging their rescue operations. You all made us so proud to be part of the greater Oshwal Community worldwide.
