Rupal Shah recognized as ‘Harvard Hero’

Rupal Ramesh Shah, daughter of Ramesh Kachra Shah and Jayshree Ramesh Shah Shah from Tanzania, recently received a Harvard Heroes Award from Harvard University. Harvard Heroes is a university-wide employee recognition program which is designed to recognize Harvard’s high performing staff and their contributions to the university. Rupal was nominated by her laboratory mates and colleagues. Rupal’s family migrated to the US fourteen years ago. She graduated with her Bacherlor’s and Master’s degrees in South Carolina and then came to Harvard University’s School of Public Health to conduct research on Tuberculosis. She now works as a laboratory manager in a Tuberculosis laboratory in the Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases at Harvard.
